Recently, Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (STA) participated in the Annual Rubber Tapping Closure Event for 2025, held in Phitsanulok Province. This event was organized by the Rubber Authority of Thailand in collaboration with the network of rubber farmer institutions in the region. Ms. Prapassorn Punyaphirom, Strategic Branding Division Manager of STA, represented the company in delivering a presentation and engaging in discussions on "Sustainable Thai Rubber Production" with farmers, rubber traders, and stakeholders in the Thai rubber industry.

The presentation emphasized three key topics:

1. Methods for Producing High-Quality Rubber: STA supports the use of formic acid, a natural organic substance, in the production of cup rubber. It is essential that the rubber is free from contaminants, that the collection containers are clean, and that transportation complies with industry standards.
2. Traceability: The entire supply chain, from production to the rubber plantation, must be free from encroachment into forested areas. Last year, STA launched its "Traceable Natural Rubber (GPS)" initiative, allowing for the identification and traceability of rubber sources. This initiative complies with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), promoting the advancement of Thailand's rubber industry to international standards.
3. Legal and Environmentally Friendly Rubber Cultivation and Production Processes: STA has consistently declared its commitment to oppose and refuse the purchase of rubber that has been illegally imported or exported. The company's manufacturing processes are designed to be environmentally friendly.

Through these efforts, STA aims to encourage all stakeholders to engage in sustainable Thai rubber production collectively.

Furthermore, during the event, Mr. Pinyo Samart, Factory Manager of STA's Phitsanulok branch, represented the company in awarding scholarships to the children of rubber farmers. This initiative aligns with the company's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for youth in the community.
